Hello, my name is Mackynsie McKedy and I am currently the 2025 Miss Lincoln County.  

 I am thrilled to share my community service initiative, "Melodies Making a Difference," with all of you. My main objective is to bring attention to the advantages and significance of Music Therapy. As someone who is passionate about both music and helping others, this cause is very close to my heart. In fact, I am currently pursuing a degree in music therapy with the ultimate goal of becoming a Board Certified Music Therapist. Through this initiative, I plan to use this platform to spread awareness about the positive impact of music therapy by sharing informative posts on social media and speaking at various settings such as schools, hospitals, nursing homes, and civic events. I am also excited to have recently partnered with Angelina's Song, which is a 501(c)(3) Non Profit organization who strives to inspire others through music and who provides grants to children's hospitals to support Music Therapy programs, annually contributes to the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation for Research and awards scholarships to Music Therapy majors of an AMTA approved school.  I believe that through this outreach, we can make a difference in people's lives and show them the healing power of music.
